new haircut!

After waiting for months, I finally cut my hair last week! It's because I'm such a procrastinator that it didn't happen until now.

I went to John Casablancas to get my hair cut ($10 cut from a student). The haircut took about 3 hours x_x My neck was in such pain after (also because of work) but the hair stylists and instructors were really nice~

I have a lot of hair so my haircut took longer than my sister's haircut, which was about 2 hours.

This is the photo I showed the hairstylist, and I told her to cut it exactly the same way. I wanted a simple, slightly layered bob haircut.

She cut off about 3 inches and I'm pretty happy with how it was cut even though it's a bit uneven on one side 

(The girl is an actor from the Aku no Hana anime. I'm sorry I don't remember the source)

Now I keep unconsciously tilting my head because of the unevenness ugh 

Also, straight bangs look so bad on me so I just stayed with side bangs.

Short hair is so much more manageable and easy to have~~ Now I actually have motivation to take care of my hair because I know I won't cut all the ends off until a few months later.

Although I like my hair, I think this length doesn't really match me x_x I can't wait for it to grow out a bit.

ahahaahahahahahahaha it looks so gross from the back when I completely comb it down (left). If I don't mess up my hair a bit, I totally look like Edna Mode from The Incredibles, it's so embarrassing. 

I have too much hair for a light, bouncy bob =3=

My hair usually falls into place so I don't have to style it much, other than straightening my bangs and using Gatsby Air Rise Moving Rubber to create some texture.

It looks good but I actually didn't really like it. It's $6 of overpriced, bland and too sweet liquid. The rice balls tasted really disgusting even though I normally like mochi.

ughh these doughnuts are the best TT-TT I'm so sad they don't have many shops here.
I usually don't like cakes/cupcakes/other baked sweets but doughnuts man... doughnuts..

My mom brought home this Chocolate Ganache Cake from Whole Foods and it is by far ... the most disgusting cake I've ever had LOL. I guess if you love chocolate you'll like it, but it was really weird... Is ganache literally supposed to by a cake shaped chunk of chocolate?

On June 9th, I attended my cousin's wedding~  It was a small and simple wedding with the ceremony at a park on a sunny day. The bride looked gorgeous ;o;

Hey guys~ Just a random photo post from 2 years ago.

The first time I try macarons, thanks to my friend 

The only flavours I remember were lychee, orange, coffee and chocolate.
As pretty as macarons are, I have to say that they don't taste that great. They're mostly just sweet and slightly chewy with a light/delicate taste.

The bag and macaron packaging is really cute.

The flowers are so colourful~ They smelled nice too.

19th bday weekend

Last week was my bday weekend so I decided to post again~ I actually don't have much to post about but somehow I feel bad that my last few posts were just a huge spam of travel pics. I feel like I should write more but I have nothing to write about. I would like to do OOTD posts so maybe if I can find a good location to take pictures I'll do that.

 oh god I feel so weird posting (4 month old) selfies on this blog now.. I don't remember the last time I did but for about 2 years I didn't take many pictures of myself. My room has this horribly gross yellow lighting & I already look like enough of an oompa loompa in my uni ID card TT-TT

I just like the way my eye looks like in the right pic even though I also look like I'm balding lol.

I wouldn't have known otherwise. There were a bunch of people crowding around to take their pictures outside the convention center.

To be honest, I thought that there would be a lot more things inside the center but there wasn't, so it was kind of a disappointment. I didn't take many pictures either because there wasn't much imo.
I guess after seeing some videos of Comic Con I thought it would be like that but maybe that's unrealistic XD


There were a lot of vendors with nice items but I wasn't really into it & it was super expensive.
I saw doujinshi's for sale! They had yaoi (¬‿¬), hetero, R-18 & others. I wanted to look through them but the woman shooed me away because she was still arranging things LOL but it's ok because I could not imagine buying a tiny doujinshi for $22?? (￣个￣)

I saw body pillows for sale!! But they were tiny. And female. PFTT where are my Snk & Kurobasu pillows! I mean, don't you want a disheveled Jean or Eren or Levi in your arms urhurhurhur . . . I think I would enjoy "boyfriend shirt Eren". anyway.

There was a lot of great artwork for sale by artists & I was so tempted to buy a Free!, Shingeki no Kyojin & Kuroko no Basuke poster!!! argh but I am about 3 steps away from being a hobo so I'll just enjoy art online lol.

The maid cafe looked kind of awkward. Why did I think that there would be decorations on the outside?? If you went in that area you would hear lots of squealing voices. And see cute maid outfits ;o;


I don't understand how people can go there for so long, & 3 days in a row (⊙ω⊙)

I admit I was done walking around after about 1 hour. But then again I'm not really super into anime. I mean they had gaming rooms & discussion places but that required social contact with strangers so . . (A discussion about Free! Swimming Anime was taking place I think. omg what is there to talk about, they are hot & borderline homo with wonderful friendships & that is lovely)


If you were expecting nice cosplay pictures, sorry! >< I only went there for 2 hrs until my friend had to go to work. By the end of 2 hours my back was killing me (results of sitting at my computer everyday for almost 2 months, almost all day)

Erm so yeah, that was the 1st time I actually kind of hung out with a friend outside of my house all summer & it was only for 2 hours lol. It was fun~ Thanks to my friend & her boss ^^
